Rockstar Mayhem Festival

Sometimes when I'm hanging out with friends we start going back and forth recalling stories from pits we've been in, injuries, funny moments, and just plain epic moments. I just thought itd be cool to hear some stories from the pit, Mayhem or otherwise

I watched a guy get both his legs broke 3 mins into the first song at an exodus show

As I Lay Dying was about to do their wall of death at a show and first off it was massive and for some reason there was a cooler of ice cold water, i was gonna throw it up in the air right before the two sides hit me but some faggot came and took it away from me :-L

At one show a few years back that had Winds of Plague, Born of Osiris, Periphery, and Oceano (back when they weren't as well known), This dude was being a douche and he got trampled in the pit and broke his leg. Born of Osiris stoped playing and everyone laughed at him lol Then at the same show this dude was swinging his arms all over doing that hardcore dancing shit that everyone hates, and the security guard walked up and punched him right in the face lol Knocked a tooth out too.

Black Sabbath at Lollapalooza 2012, unbelievably brutal pits. lots of the crowd were stoned and drunk being dicks and some guy was moshing and trying to hop over people to the front and the guy next to him slammed a beer bottle over his shoulder and they got in a big fight on the ground and literally bloodied eachother up while many people are cheering them on and jumping around them and getting involved and when they eventually got up they just walked away like nothing happened and continued listening to the music. and this was all hile children of the grave was playing. fucking classic

Unfortunately I haven't been in a pit since Mayhem 2010 I came home with bruised and missed about a week of work so my old ass just doesn't do it anymore. Now the Hatebreed show I went to a couple of weeks ago I saw two people get knocked the fuck out a got carried out of the pit. Only time I ever saw that happen.

I had a funny one recently. It was when I saw Devin Townsend with Gojira. He was playing Lucky Animals and I was doing that stupid dance in the video because I'm weird like that and then everyone else started moshing. It was the most interesting pit I have been in for sure.

Children of Bodom Black Label Berzerkus 2010. While they were playing Hatecrew Deathroll, I got rammed in the face by a big fat ass and had a couple streaks of blood running down from the left side of my face minutes later. And Hatebreed in 2009 I was crowdsurfing and got dropped right in the pit.

At sevendust my aunt and i were right on the barrier. Right behind us these 300 pound guys were moshing and getting knocked into my 115 pound aunt who is 5'2. It was pretty funny for me but scary for her. She got out fine though. But when they started moshing her face was hillarious. And at uproar i saw this guy get punched square in the face
