I can't fucking stand them. Some elitist told me death metal is the only metal. He then continued to say my opinion doesn't matter because I like Slipknot. It pisses me off.

I've been shrugging off this kind of bullshit for years. I've always been a very accepting music listener in general -- I mean, if people get their rocks off listening to Green Day, who am I to judge? It's bad taste to me, but I also think crop tops look stupid, and my taxes are too damn high, and driving 20 over the limit on the freeway should be required. But no one listens to me. So if I love the music I love, I don't want to be told my music is any less legit than anyone else's.

Same. This moron is just obnoxious. He is saying I don't like metal because death metal isn't my favorite. I just don't get how someone can be so close minded? I don't care what anyone listens to, as long as they give credit where credit is due. For example, I dislike Justin Bieiber, but he is talented and I will give him that.

I'm not sure I'd give you Justin Beeebs, since I think that is mostly hype and not real talent, but Adele has a beautiful voice, I think she's very talented, and I still just do not like her music at all. Besides, I'll be the first to admit that I was driving around listening to Hall & Oates and The Police today. Blasphemy! And those band choices also make me sound 45 years old, geeze.
