I wanted to let you know that we arrived at the concert at 5pm picked up our tickets and entered the fest. Once inside the gates we asked where the Metal of Honor tent was and was told the general direction it should be. After walking around looking for it and asking several people since we couldn't find it, we came across a security guard that said it was supposed to be over there next to another tent. We walked over and saw a lady giving out some wristbands and other items to some high school aged kids. I got her attention and asked where the tent was and where do i sign in, she snapped back at me rudely and said you should have been here at 1pm. I said I was told on the phone earlier that day the tent was open til 6pm and she replied they took the tent down early and I should have came at 1pm. She was very rude and not very compassionate and didn't offer any resolve. At that point we were frustrated and felt like we had been lied to earlier that day and were ready to leave. We were on our way out and a guy noticed my IAVA shirt and asked me what was wrong. I told him what happened he apologized and said they should have given me a vip wristband, holographic card and backstage tour passes. He said he would find the person in charge and to wait here. After 45 mins of waiting the guy supposedly in charge came to meet us and told us they closed the tent early and all they offered was a sign in sheet for a raffle ticket, there was no backstage tour passes offered, holographic cards or vip wristbands. He also said there was a email going around from the IAVA saying about the vip status was false and the fest was offering was a raffle ticket to veterans. At that point we felt like he was lying because they had already packed up the semi-trailer and it was a hassle for him to help us. In my opinion he should have done something to rectify the situation instead of the excuse he gave us. We were very upset at that point and found another veteran in the same boat that was waiting in the empty spot where the tent was supposed to be shaking his head. We didn't stay long because the tickets they gave us were to sit on the grass and they did not accomodate me because of my disability.

I am sorry if I seem like I bitching I just feel like I was treated with very little respect, I was being lied to and nobody offered to accomodate my disability or rectify the situation. Thank you anyways for the opportunity to visit this concert.
