@on edge: Tampa is known as the Metal Capitol of the world dude that's why they never miss Tampa, Corey Taylor has said this to my face! West Palm Beach should have a show and I don't understand why they don't. But to all who have posted here need to understand that talking shit about Tampa isn't going to make a WPB show appear out of thin air! At least all WPB shit-talkers get to enjoy what your town really deserves: "Sun-Fest 2012" and for this I am eternally grateful to live in Tampa.

Really!!! I've dropped alot of coin on the West Palm Mayhem venues and this is how I am repayed.. FUCK !!! The place is pack every god damn year so why the injustice. Yeah, just drive an hour and your there. What, did you mapquest this. I drove up there once and it's four hours non-stop. Some of use have to work for a living and believe me, if you drive from WPB to Tampa, you won't be going home the same night. Especially after you have enjoyed a full day of you favorite buzzmakers. TOTAL BULLSHIT!!!!!

I would suggest going to Ybor City. It's a few mins away in driving time and that's where everyone goes to party. Has a shit load of clubs, bars, and live music. If there's a good show going on I would suggest going to the Brass Mug in Tampa. That bar is the heart of the metal scene here. If you go on a good night you might catch some of the dudes from deicide, cannibal corpse, or six feet under drinking a beer there. but yea, Ybor is pretty cool

Crystal, when show is over everyone just leaves. Hard Rock is close but I personally would not walk there. It's a little far walking and at night walking there I wouldent trust it so much. Driving it'll take you a few mins. I

But then again since I'm flying across the US for the show, I wouldn't really have room to pack camping gear! So does is the HardRock Casino also a hotel? And is it within walking distance? Any input about the area and where to have a good time on my vacation would be much appreciated!

No... There's no camping. The hard rock casino is right next door to the venue so thats a good bet.

Another question then, does the place offer camping? Or what is the norm to do after the show? I come from years of Ozzfests at Floatrite Park in Wisconsin where everyone would camp at all the nearby and adjacent campgrounds and party like rockstars for 2 days. Does that happen in Tampa?

Hi Crystal, that event will take place at the expo hall, not at the amptheatre. it's a pretty big venue, we usually have our state fair here. so on the other side dar away from us metalhead, will be their crappy music concert. feel free to ask any questions. tampa shows are sick

I'm making a vacation out of this and flying down from Minnesota (no dates anywhere near) does anyone know why "Kaskade" is scheduled on July 13th at 1-800-Ask-Gary Amphitheater? Am I just not understanding something, or can the place host 2 things? Never been to Tampa, so I'm hoping someone can enlighten me!
