Backpack, water, food(if venue allows it), Sunscreen, Sun glasses, shorts. Ear pluggs if it gets to loud of of there's a band you don't like. It's really fun, all the people there are super nice and are willing to talk to you, there's tents all around for band signings ect. you'll learn more in the coming months.

sunscreen, light clothes, money for merch, food, drinks, etc... bands do meet and greets through out the day, there will be schedules there. Take a look at all the merch tents, activity tents and what ever else they have, if you dont like a band, go take a piss break or get something to eat. its gonna be hot, and its gonna be outside all day, sunglasses, sun screen, stay hydrated. and most of all have fun!

PLAN YOUR SCHEDULE. You find out stuff after the first few mayhem dates. I planned out what i was going to do last year, and i had the time of my life. I met all the bands i wanted to see and was front row for the mainstage. And manage what you eat and drink. Drink as little as possible, but enough to keep you hydrated. You dont want to have to pee really bad an hour after you get front row or something. It would suck. And if you have to poop, hold it, or just shit your pants. The bathrooms are always clogged

Personally I drink all that I can, because I end up sweating it all out anyways. But bring sunscreen, stay hydrated, bring sunglasses, emergancy snacks (like a granola bar for example) and extra cash (for merch, food, water, etc). Really everything everyone here has posted i important stuff. Not so sure about the baby powder though lol

Most important thing...DRINK A LOT OF WATER! I nearly passed out Halfway through Asking Alexandria last year...not making that mistake again!

This summer will be my 5th year. Just focus on having a good time and everything will be fine. The only real advice I can give you is to be prepared for crowd push if you want to be near the stage. It's easy to ignore if you've been to shows before but for a first timer it's very distracting. Also hydrate well for a couple days beforehand, it is a summer show afterall. And if you don't want to lose money on water, put a bottle cap in your shoe. Most venues dont let them in but if you have one you can buy one bottle and refill it. But most people at Mayhem are there to have a good time so just go with the flow.
Pursue happiness with diligence.
