i find it highly dumb. slaytanic(however you spell it) said on another thread the line-up was finished in november. last year they announced it back in january so why couldnt they do that this year? opinions anyone?
anyone associated with icp can jump off a bridge.

The sooner they release the line-up the sooner they can start selling tickets. Delaying the release date just makes people annoyed and spend their $ on other things.

MetalsEve just hit the nail on the head. Delaying the announcement in some sort of hope to build anticipation is a huge business mistake in my opinion. I've already bought a ticket for ROTR as well as Orion. Many people will have done a similar type thing and won't have the funds left for Mayhem. Whoever thought this was a good idea at Mayhem to wait until March 18 for a release needs to re-visit basic marketing skills.
It's like, how much more black could this be? and the answer is none. None more black.

Waiting until 3/18 to release the WHOLE line-up would have been acceptable IF they had at least said a few of the bands on the bill.

Well, we kind of already have a good idea what the lineup is anyway. Zombie, 5FDP, and Deftones have been rumored for the main stage from the onset.

the only way i can see it being good is if they have a really really big name that is going to blow people away!! The anticipation is there but you guys are right!! but the right band with the anticipation would work in there favor perhaps? IDK a band that would draw lots of different tastes and everyone is not expecting. I am just hoping they are holding out because they have one hwell of a fucking line up.
