like 5. MAYBE. Only girls I ever see at metal shows are with a dude. Now they may very well be into the music as well, but I NEVER see single women at metal shows.

Yeah it is pretty rare, ive been to alot of metal shows and I can think of about 4 times I had seen girls at the concert by themselves one was at Mayhem 09 and when me and my friend were leaving the concert these two chicks started banging my car window asking if they could come in. We let them in and they said these guys were stalking them so we drove them to their car, (probably not the smartest idea considering they didnt know us either but I get they were trying to get away from the crazy guys following them) . Maybe one reason they dont go even if they do love metal they dont feel comfortable going to a concert that they know is going to populated by mostly guys. That when they go guys always shoutin out "show me your tits!" For those that dont like doin that probably a real turn off for them to wanna go to a concert and have to worry about that. The only other times was at All That Remains two girls were in front of me and gf and they were rockin out the whole time, very awesome. Another Mayhem show dont remeber which one and at the Big 4 in Indio. I was talking to these two girls and they said just the two of em drove from from Kentucky or some state way out east all the way to Cali to see Metallica and Slayer!!! Now thats fuckin metal! Its really cool to see when girls are into metal cuz like I think most of us can agree its not an everyday thing.

Depends on the band really. Almost every metalcore show I've been to has had a pretty decent female turnout. Same goes for Disturbed and Slipknot shows. But there are almost certainly some shows where it is almost gauranteed to be a sausage-fest. I would say death metal shows and shows by older bands fall under this umbrella.

I asked about Hatebreed because that's probably the one show I've been to where I only saw like maybe 5 girls total. But metal in general is more a masculine genre of music. Not that some women don't like it obviously. Sort of like how most men don't care for pop music but women love it. Same idea. It just goes to show that us men have a better taste in music and appreciate talent more lol
