specs seem pretty sweet, but pretty lame announcement. No pictures of the ps4, no new titles released, and to be honest the controller looks like the 360's. thoughts?

Absolutely amazing announcement. They probably dont have the final ps4 look finished yet and they have to save stuff for E3. This was a surprise announcement after all. And the controller looks nothing like xbox 360s. It looks like the dualshock with some extras added on which is perfectly fine. Its to get better and inovate

Im sorry but I dont see what you mean. That doesnt look like the 360 controller to me. The analog sticks are nothing like the 360. Dpad is different and in a different position. Plus the triggers (r2,l2) dont really look like the 360's either. But if I had to point out the thing that was most similar, Id say the triggers. But in all honesty, the dualshock came before the 360 controller

I'm sold. The press conference was sweet. And there were new titles announced: Killzone: Shadow Fall, inFAMOUS: Second Son, Knack (sp?), some new racing game, Destiny (the new game by Bungie - creators of Halo. Will have exclusive content on Playstation over Xbox), some new indie games, etc.

controller also looks nothing like the 360 controller. It looks like all the other Dualshock controllers with an added touch pad in the middle.

i said new games... these are just games that are already on the ps3 with the exception of destiny. I guess i was just expecting a little more. it seems to me that they rushed this announcement. I am sure a microsoft response will be right around the corner.

The new Infamous is PS4 exclusive.

infamous has always been a ps# exclusive, just like god of war, GT, uncharted, etc... i just think it was rushed and not very informative. to me it seems like sony had to get info out to create buzz. they have been saying they would wait till microsoft to announce anything. i wonder what microsoft has done in order to create this kind of reaction from sony.

Sony realized that Microsoft won early on of last generations systems (in sales). Obviously now, the PS3 has caught up to 360 and people have recognized the PS3 as a good system alongside the 360. I believe the purpose of yesterdays event was to get in the game early, and avoid losing early on in the next generation as well... It looks like they're doing good as far as I'm concerned.
