Rockstar Mayhem Festival

Anybody else experience this? i went to metal mayhem twice and the first time we got seats becouse my freinds arent hardcore fans......anyway during slayer me and my freinds are all standing up headbanging and everybody around us are just sitting with their arms crossed. Like wtf get the fuck up for fucking slayer. This Happens at any big concerts i go to 20k+ crowd.

The problem is that at events like Mayhemfest, you get a huge variety of people that come to see the show. You have people like me that like nearly every genre of Metal and come for all the bands and experience, and conversly you have people that come for just a few bands. Let's say you go to a Slayer hadlining show where they play a full set. Chances are most people there will be diehard slayer fans and will really get into it where at Mayhemfest, some people may not be that big of fans of them and are waiting for Slipknot. You have to keep in mind that these types of tours bring in a ton of genres of metal and hard rock, so odds are there will be poeple that don't mosh, headbang, etc. for all the bands.

^ This is a very complicated case, Maude. You know, a lotta ins, a lotta outs, a lotta what-have-yous. And, uh, a lotta strands to keep in my head, man. Lotta strands in old Duder's head. Fortunately, I'm adhering to a pretty strict, uh, drug regimen to keep my mind, you know, uh, limber.

nothing pisses me off more than this. you are at a metal show lets throw the fuck down. what pisses me off even more are the people that get pissed that are standing next to the pit. bitch if you don't want to get touched leave. you are obviously in the majority

I hate it when people tell me to sit down anywhere! at a metal show or a football game. but especially at a metal show!! its a metal show!! imo you need to get up or get out or sit down and shut up!

Did you buy prom tickets to be a wall flower? if the answer is no, then why do people stand around like dickbags at shows? I agree, it music you like! Go crazy or get lost. At one show, I was waving around a t-shirt that said Free Randy Blythe while the band was talking to the crowd between songs. Some asshole freaked out cause of it.

it depends on the song. if its a midpaced song ten standing up and headbang or jammin out is fine, but if its high energy level song or thrashy or heavy then crowd should get into the show instead of smoking crack on the lawn

I hate when im at any show and people stand there like they dont want to be there when they spend their hard earned money on it. It really pisses me off
