^ uh.... there are multiple talking points to this discussion but i will stick strictly to the topic. no it is not unconstitutional for a private university to have rules based on what it feels is appropriate. freedom of speech is in the constitution, which also means you have freedom from as well. also if it bugs you so much... just don't listen to that radio station... i am sure you can find a good discussion on birds on your local liberal npr station. it is all relative. also as far as the constitution the government doesn't even follow it... federal income tax is unconstitutional.

The radio station is privately owned. They pay for it to be broadcast, and pay DJs to work there. If they don't want certain band names to be mentioned, they have every right to have rules and restrictions. Often times parts of the constitution are exempt when it comes to privately owned business.

Appropriate? Is it appropriate to brainwash kids at a christian university? Privately owned school that teaches kids that catholicism is true but science is not. We also are supposed to have the freedom of religion, but that doesn't mean freedom of religion if you have to be christian to be president and you can't tesitify in court without taking an oath on the holy bible. In god we trust on our money, etc etc etc. I wonder how many of those kids at that privately owned university refrain from having sex before marriage or don't use condoms or masturbate. sinners

Censoring anything for any reason is unconstitutional. If you're trying to make sense out of religious nuts justifying shit that doesn't make sense then you're probably one of them.

If I were in one of these bands, I'd consider it a compliment that someone considers my band's name so offensive that it can't even be spoken.
