Exited for Deftones. What about Tool for next year?

I just finished listening to the new song from Deftones titled Tempest and I think this provides a new edge to the Mayhem Fest. But what about having Tool next year? I think it would be bad-fucking-ass! I know that I wanna see Tool and/or Dethklok on Mayhem next year. I think they should co-headline (Like Slipknot/Slayer or Disturbed/Godsmack) and NONE of the Main stage should be repeats. In all honesty, the only repeats that I think should be on next year are God Forbid and Cannibal Corpse (if they're not on already but I doubt they are)

Tempest is one of the worst songs of last year and is severely overplayed on radio every day

i like tempest but there are better songs on the album. i would love to see tool at mayhem but the $ probably don't add up. that was one of the killers of ozzfest. you can't spend more than you make. i enjoy a good headliner but not at the expense of the festival. the whole point of the festival is get to see tons of bands play all day, meet and greets, and beer. this year rumored side stage bands are amon amarth, behemoth, Children of bodom, in this moment, and possible all that remains. If you put tool/metallica/soad etc... on the festival you lose the ability to have solid side stages. i would much rather have a mediocre main stage and solid side stages than a good main stage and an ok set of side stages. it's an all day festival i want to have my brain melted for 10 hours no just 3.

That's y they had the tent for the sumerian stage cause of the main stage. But it brought in a shit load of money tho.
everybody dies so live your life and have fucking fun while doing it.

^ true but slaytanic i believe said that sumerian does there own thing. they pay to have there people on and also paid for the tent. but you bring up a good point. last year they paid big money for slipknot, slayer, motorhead, anthrax, tdwp, and as i lay dying. awesome bands... but if you recall before sumerian stepped up the only other bands where white chapel, high on fire, and asking alexandria. then high on fire had to drop of because a band member had a substance abuse problem. in that scenario you would have only had one side stage, and a total of 8 bands. this year there will be 4 stages and probably around 16 bands. i would personally want the latter.

eh... I don't really like Deftones. So I won't be overly excited if they're on the bill... I'm not the biggest Tool fan either. I like them, but I could care either way if they were on the bill or not.

Cause, not enough. I need more. Nothing seems to satisfy. I said, I don't want it. I just need it. To breathe, to feel, I know I'm alive.

Tempest is great although Leathers was the better single.

They'd probably have to do something like Ozzfest (charging side-stage bands) in order to get somebody like Tool.
