Decided to steal this from some other thread online (it was a football forum), and liked the idea enough that I would carry it over here. Just a few rules for this thread please:
1. Personal experiences only. No third person heresay. Actual events that happened to you.
2. Please limit it to only one good experience, and one bad experience tops. You don't need to drop the names of 20 different musicians to look cool. Seriously, just keep it to two people (one good, one bad).
3. Be truthful. Do not embellish!!
Now, with that, who were you most disappointed by? Conversely, who were you most impressed with? (I will explain mine in another post).
Welcome once again to the bloody pit, my friends! We're so glad you could attend, COME AND DIE! COME AND DIE!

My positive experience was with Mike Derks (Balsac) of GWAR. Saw him walking around the venue GWAR was playing, wearing a Descendants hoodie. Went and talked to him, asked him who he was. Since I collect guitar picks, I asked him for one, and he said he didn't have one on himself at the time, but would make sure to get one to me after the show. Told me as well that it takes them an hour or so to break down their set, and then he would attempt to find me. I told him about a bar next door to the venue. After the show, my girlfriend and I went to the bar and had a drink or two....and sure enough, an hour after the show, here comes Mike opening the door to the bar. Gives me a brand new pick, and Mike, my girlfriend, and I all proceeded to have a drink. One of the coolest dudes I had ever met. Conversely, I don't know if it was just me, but I feel like Matt Heafy was a little weird to me. When I did the "meet and greet" for Trivium at Mayhem a few years ago, I feel as if the rest of the band was really cool, were all awesome guys. He just signed the poster, and when I extended my hand to shake, he gave me some kind of look. Sucked, changed my opinion of the dude.

The nicest musician has to be a tie between Corey Taylor and Matt Heafy. both extremely down to earth and chill. @SawborgDestructo idk man, when I met Trivium last year on tour with In Flames they were all great except the drummer who was a little awkward. The biggest douche bag would have to be the dudes from The Black Dahlia Murder, I think they were fucked up at the meet and greet but they acted like asses.

Of the few groups I've met so far, I'd have to give the coolest to All That Remains. They were all really cool, even with what ended up being at least an hour and a half long line. I'd say Killswitch Engage were cool too, but it was hard to tell, since the Hot Topic appearance I met them at was so poorly managed.
As for the worst, I'm going with Atreyu. What's the point in doing a signing like that if it's too much to ask for a quick photo?
