Most money in the music industry is made from merch and concerts. Both merchandise and concerts have skyrocketed in price since illegal downloading has really become a thing. So due to that fact most musicians don't care much about illegal music downloading. David Draiman has said basically my same exact argument in an interview before and also that kids tell him they downloaded songs off the internet and then later went out and bought the album, All Shall Perish defended fans who illegally downloaded their music. Bands back in the 80's would just hand out their demos to be heard, so what's the difference between that and illegal music downloading? Just some simple facts defending iTunes/illegal music downloading.

FUCK torrentors. they can all go fuck themselves in the ass with a butchers knife. I know concerts and merch and whatnot is the biggest source of money but music is also a big factor, which bands liek Tool and the Foo Fighters are trying to revive the music industry and u know what, as i said, my label has a whole team of experts hired to catch illegal downloaders or sharers of any kind ready the second albums start to be released and sold starting this february, cause Elite Detritus Records is the greatest label theres ever been and once our way of business starts to get out in the open i bet future and current record labels may want to try it because it works dammit. and also mjk was dead on in this interview

Oh look, greg is using the word fuck a lot again, and talking about his damn label again, what a surprise. Personally, as long as someone purchases their music in some way shape or form, I think that's a good thing, I like buying CDs because I like having the physical product, but I realize that isn't for everyone for one reason or another.

I use itunes if I only want ONE SONG. I never download anything illegally. But if I want ONE SONG then I'll just get it off itunes, I'm not going to buy the CD for it, that's ridiculous

I honestly do both. My cd collection is basically equal to my iTunes collection. And Greg idk if you know this but cd's are a dying breed. Sooner or later iTunes will replace it entirely. I love cd's and it saddens me to, but it was eventually going to fade. Do you ever hear in todays era of anyone pulling out an 8 track player? A cassette player? Hell even radio is being replace by the internet, radio stations across the country are getting closed down and cars are being built in with internet radio. Pandora, iHeartradio, Slacker Radio, e.t.c. And I think you need to tone down your labels whole strict torrent security. No one is going to waste their time downloading a song/album from a label that no one has ever even heard of. And maybe tone down the whole "our label is the best label ever, fuck all the rest shit" it makes you sound like a cocky arrogant asshole. It's okay to have confidence and pride in your work/passion but what you do is like watching a 5 year old bitch and whine about how much better they are.
