^ And you know for a fact that he's telling the truth? I wouldn't be surprised if he has to lie or steer you away from the truth because that's his job and I don't blame him. He can't give you hints otherwise his job is in jeopardy. If he didn't rule out LoG to us, that's giving us a hint. But I really do believe that it's due to LoG and I've said that from the beginning. The only other reason for pushing the announcement back more other than them is if they're having issues with the venues. But until the bands are FINALLY announced, LoG is what I think and I'm sticking with it.

Agree with tdog and simon! But seriously if the dates dont come out soon then I might be bailing on Mayhem all together. My friends overseas and he was going to come back for the mayhem date week (and if the lineup sucked, atleast we could hang). We use to go to mayhem all the time. this is fucking everything, might just bag it no matter what the lineup is. -_-
Squint your eyes to see clearly. Blur reality to make it real. Let focus go from your deceiving eyes to know whats been concealed. We've all been blinded

I understand your thinking, but if you remember past@ rocksarenergymayhemfest we have lost bands in the middle of the tour. If you read the ticket, hell any ticket lineup subject to change at any! !!!!! Time . No refunds. And if it did concern lamb of god? Why wouldn't we announce it? Ror did right? !

Slaytanic- Have there been changes to the lineup (without actually naming anybody of course)? If so, how does it change your feelings on the lineup? Are they still going to give an official announcement on the dates this month?

I dont wanna sound like a dick or anything Slaytanic, but you guys seriously have to fix this problem fast. Ive talked to numerous fans (not just here on the boards, but actually a lot of my friends as well as some aquaintances), and lots of them are starting to change their plans or spend their money on something else. I remember talking to someone who needed to know the bands/dates this month because he needed to schedule around vacation. I met someone with the same problem but with them having to visit family. Im sure there is a perfectly good reason as to why this is happening, but it has to be solved quick or else fans are going to leave. My best suggestion is to release the dates ASAP, and announce a band. At least 1 or something. This cant keep going on. There needs to be some assurance for the fans and something to spark a peak of interest for them. You guys do an incredible job every year with mayhem fest (as well as uproar), and I am in no doubt that this year will be fantastic! But please fix these issues and take care of your fans needs. Sincerely, a fellow metal head, and Mayhem fest attendee \m/

I share in the frustration. I noticed this same trend starting near the end of Ozzfest years ago. For years Ozzfest, released their lineup in February and then they started pushing it back further ans further till it wasn't announced till April or May. Diehard fans of these fesitvals plan their summers around them and wait all year for them. Some people have to schedule vacation days months in advance. When announcements get pushed back months at a time, people are forced to make tough decisions regarding family, friends, and work.
I hope that the festival organizers have a legitimate reason for doing this and it's not just a ploy to try and build up sespense or some other marketing scheme. Ozzfest did the same thing and it really alienated a lot of people, I know because I went to the last 4 full Ozzfest tours before it stopped as a touring festival and was a frequent on their boards.
It has been said many times by people on here, Wolverinekills, Slaytanic, etc. that the lineup is all but set, so unless the organizers are waiting on 1-2 more band confirmations, then what's the holdup? It all just seems like a marketing ploy of some kind. I hope I'm wrong.

as i said on another thread its more about logistics because this tour is different then any of the others we have done. it looks like the dates are coming next week. and i told everybody after the 15th. this is also john and kevins call they have the last word. they are the top of the food chain. as i said there are not many bands big enough to hold up an entire tour announcement. and none of them are playing @rockstarenergymayhemfest this year. after the offical announcement i will be happy to answer any question anybody might have.
