I honestly think they are big enough, kevin lyman said it would be heavy this year, and if he thinks 5fdp and rob zombie are heavy then hes a fool,

It's simple advertisement for the tour on his part. He's going to say its heavy weather its machine head or FFDP. If he just said yeah I guess the tours okay this year then obviously people wouldn't be pumped at all. And considering FFDP was on main stage in 2010 in like the 3rd spot, and machine head was only a rotator in 2011, I'm willing to bet it will be Five Finger Death Punch. Also since when FFDP last was on mayhem they released what was critically acclaimed as one of their best albums (wheatear it is true to everyone doesn't matter because a massive majority would say other wise) and who knows what they are gonna pull off this year for record number 4. Machine Head had released one of their best albums at the time they were on Mayhem and still were only rotators.

Yeah I got nothing against Machine Head but this isn't even a discussion. 5FDP it will be, and im not really that big a fan of them anymore.

still the fact RZ and 5FDP have already played side by side on the mainstage is a big decider. no matter how many different bands are on the side stages, its gonna have an impact if the main stage is half of 2010

Lyman himself said there's only like 20-25 bands that could and would play main stage. You can't pick any of the bands from last year obviously, a lot of bands went on hiatus or are touring overseas, and a lot of bands cost to much. That limits it down a lot.

CO-headlining means you're just playing main stage, not second spot, Machine could definitely have motorheads/megadeths spot.

I don't doubt that machine head could play main stage in 3rd spot. Main stage could very well be rob zombie, ffdp, machine head, rotator(s). But with the whole deftones thing, I can't see deftones being side stage.

I think Main stage is Rob Zombie, Deftones, Machine Head/FFDP

I honestly am really hoping they have the third spot at least. They were simply amazing when i saw them and i think they are big enough at this point to get that spot.

I would love to see Machine Head as the 3rd spot on the main stage. They certainly are big enough, definitely heavy enough, and they are one of the best bands I have ever seen live. They are also on that list of bands that I could go see over and over again and never get tired of them. I think Machine Head would be a much better fit than ffdp for the 3rd spot. I honestly hope ffdp isn't even on the tour to be honest. They are rumored almost every single year since mayhem has started and I'm tired if seeing and hearing their name on here to be honest.
