I think the armed security in schools is a good idea... Kind of relevant. I think it's silly to blame violent games. It's like blaming "violent" music. Most sane people aren't effected by things like that in a negative way. If anything, it benefits by helping them with whatever issue. If something like that does have an influence on someone's actions, the person is obviously not right in the head. We should focus on helping the mentally sick. We should definitely do more background checks and whatnot for people interested in buying guns. It's just ridiculous to blame video games for the reason behind someone's poor choices...

Background checks and the like was basically what I meant when I said "gun control", sorry if there was any confusion about that.

This is similar to when Judas Priest was put on trial for when their lyrics were thought to provoke a kid to murder. It couldn't be anymore ridiculous. Politicians just want something to blame so they can say they did something

^ i agree it is politicians but a lot of that pressure comes from the people they serve. i think we have become an instant gratification culture. we want answers now. we need our news now, we need someone to blame now. that way we can move on instead of actually finding the root of the problem and treating it. it actually mirrors what our current mind set in medicine is Antibiotics this and Antibiotics that, you have a cold? here are some antibiotics. "lets but some antibacterial cream on that cut of yours". instead of finding the solution to the problem we are using antibiotics to treat everything and eventually things are just going to get worse.
You tried hard and you failed. Moral of the story is never try.

Ok this is kind of off topic but, if we want to stop all of these mass shootings then i think we should get rid of gun free zones. I mean if im going to go shoot up a place and then kill myself, would i rather do it were someone might have a gun or were i know noone has guns? And gun control is ridiculous! The more gun control the more the percentage of people die from gun related deaths
