FFDP draws a huge crowd in the same way Justin Beiber draws a huge crowd; it's the douchebag mainstream toolbags who show up in affliction shirts and take their shirts off to show off their tribal tattoos and fake tans. That's why ffdp is playing rock festivals. It's funny that people think their songs are so deep and meaningful when in actuality their lyrics and lazy and just cater to the masses in order to sell records to the ignorant general public. their credibility went out the window when they hired a guy who played for mandy moore and then tried to play it off as it was no big deal. Their nationalist attitude is what annoys me the most. It's no different than someone writing a christian book in order to sell millions of copies to the christian public. I don't blame the band, i blame the people who fall for it. Maybe i should be less cynical but i can't.

Even Robb Flynn said he's sick and tired of all the patriotic bullshit in music today. He didn't name names but i'm assuming he's referring to ffdp and all that remains and the other craptastic bands that think war is cool and stuff.

Yeah as everyone knows, the purpose of this tour is to make money, not to cater to the "real" metalheads, thats why there is a wide spectrum of bands every year, the lineup targets as many groups of fans as possible, machine head isn't in the same league as ffdp as far as drawing fans, also for anyone complaining about deftones, they are a fairly decent band from back in the day who are well respected if not as "popular" as some others, n they can def heavy it up a little for a tour like mayhem, I've seen bands do that before to fit in on a festival type show,

You all need to be honest with yourselves: Mayhem is slowly coming more into the mainstream. They don't want to start losing profit and end up like fucking bamboozle. This year be prepared for more cool bands to draw in a bigger crowd like: Minus the Bear, andrew w.k. and like maybe municipal waste. Skrillex will definitely make an appearance, or dubstep will be included somehow...

Hatebreed may happpen... Some chick tweeted Kevin on how she was disappointed that Hatebreed won't be on the line up (they said, on twitter I believe, they wouldn't be at Warped or Mayhem), and how she hopes there aren't any "screamo" bands. Kevin retweeted her and said she might be surprised when the line up is revealed. He could have been referring to the screamo part, but he kept Hatebreed's twitter in the retweet.
