sources close to negotiations say the kings will be sold for 500 million dollars to a seattle based ownership group looking to relocate them in time for the 2013-2014 season!!!! I feel bad for Sacramento, because i know what it is like to lose the my team. but as a Sonics fan for years i am pumped!

Well i live in virginia and from what i hear they are trying to relocate them here. Both are very likely i think though.

Well from what i hear our town has the money already and a place to build the arena. But if a place like seattle is in talks also it might make it more difficult.

I honestly didn't think it would be that hard a thing to do until i was recently in san antonio and saw how big the san antonio center is. If you lived here you would know how big of a problem that would cause with traffic and parking haha.

a couple months ago seattle city counsel approved the referendum that chris hansen (not the to catch a predator guy) and his group put together for a new arena. He already owns the land in the sodo neighborhood just south of the mariners and seahawks stadiums. the stadium will be 490 million dollars 290 will be payed by the ownership group and the other 200 million will be in bonds from the city that will be payed back. the deal is that the shovel doesn't hit the ground till he secures a team... aka the kings,bobcats,bucks, or grizzles.

I think they might just keep the Kings as their name, but it would be cool if they brought back the Supersonics name for the fanbase.

the city of seattle owns the super sonics name and the green and yellow colors and all of the logos. they have a shared history with OKC.
