so ive been into metal for about 2 years. My fav genre is metalcore. Im open to all metal genres. If you guys can list off any of your fav death metal bands or any genre of metal, so i can take a listen, id really appreciate it. thanx \m/

Yeah I've noticed you're into that pretty terrible genre of metal so hopefully you can outgrow it. Listen to some Opeth, Cannibal Corpse, Morbid Angel, Deicide.

Listen to the band Kvelertak, their new and only have 1 album which is self titled, other than that check out Opeth( I recommend the album Ghost reveries) or check out several thrash bands, Testament, Slayer, Anthrax, Sodom, Kreator ect. For good metalcore listen to bands like Every time I die or Dilinger Escape Plan, or most importantly Converge. The band that got me into death metal was Meshuggah or Death, so check them out too.

It kind of depends on what metalcore bands you are listening to. But Between the Buried and Me is an absolute must if you aren't already listening to them. Also if you like synths, I would recommend the technical death metal band Born of Osiris, maybe even Dimmu Borgir (symphonic black metal). I would also recommend Cannibal Corpse and Necrophagist if you are looking to get into death metal. Or if those bands are a little too caustic for you, try the melodic death metal band In Flames. Everytime i die is hardcore music, but i like it. Try some black metal like Behemoth or Watain, death metal = job for a cowboy, whitechapel, aborted, black dahlia murder, cannibal corpse, the faceless, carnifex ,exhumned. If you want some deathcore = old bring me the horizon (count your blessings album) chelsea grin, beneath the sky( like a deathcore version of killswitch engage) all shall perish, as blood runs black, my autumn, oceano, rose funeral, and veil of maya. If some djent = after the burial , periphery.

some death metal to check out: Death, Bloodbath, Gorguts, Bolt Thrower... thrash: Vektor, Diamond Plate, Lich King, Warbeast... black metal: Antestor, Mirrorthrone, Immortal, Nocturnal Depression, Urfaust... progressive metal/ experimental metal: Opeth, Maudlin of the Well, Devin Townsend, Mastodon... Doom metal: Ahab, Loss, Pallbearer, Worm Ouroboros, Yob... stoner metal: High on Fire, Forged in Flame, Red Fang... noise/drone metal: Sunn O))), Locrian, Venowl... folk metal: Alestorm, Tyr, Korpiklaani, Arkona... also check out Agalloch. They're a little hard to categorize, but have atmospheric black metal, neo-folk, and post-rock elements to them.
