2010 for me. It was the first one I went to. Line up wise would be 2009. 2011 was ok Megadeth, Machine Head, All Shall Perish, Kingdom of Sorrow, Suicide Silence, and Straight line stitch.

2008, My first concert ever and after that I became a huge fan of Five Finger Death Punch while waiting for them I saw Suicide Silence on the other stage, who blew my fucking mind. I saw The Red Chord and was like "oh my gawd, that's awesome!" and Machine Head who is my number 4 favorite band ever. SlipKnot and Disturbed are two of my childhood bands, I literally had an amazing time that day!!! SlipKnot has always been apart of my life so seeing them 2012 and 2008 made me extremely happy and Disturbed put on a tremendous performance in 2008. That concert was amazing.

I have yet to go to a mayhem yet. But lineup wise it would be 09 or 12. It would most likely be 12 because it had a more balanced lineup of nu-metal, thrash, and metalcore.

09 by far. Had the best side stages bands out of all the years.

I personally liked the 2010 lineup the best with Korn, Rob Zombie, LOG, and FFDP on the main stage. The Jager stage was pretty good that year too, with Hatebreed, Chimaira, Shadows Fall, and Winds of Plague. The Silver Star Stage (I think that's what they called it that year) could've been better, but In This Moment, Norma Jean, and 3 Inches of Blood put on pretty solid sets.
