I find the assertion that school prayer would have stopped the massacre almost hilarious. The idea is that we need to a "kinder, gentler nation" and that Christianity will get us there. But the entire history of Christianity basically consists of genocide, and Christianity in America is basically a crutch and vehicle for bigotry. Does that sound like a religion that would promote a kinder and gentler nation? On a more serious note, some of you may remember the Heath High School shooting in the late 90s where the shooter ACTUALLY SHOT AT A PRAYER GROUP. So all in all, it is pretty clear that this is just another numbnuts idea from right-wingers. Just people in denial about the gun control issue if you ask me. Obama warned us about people clinging to guns and religion, turns out he was right on the money.

^ I actually agree 100% with Greg for once. Gun control is one of the worst things that could happen to this country. Once gun control is passed, we're no longer citizens, we're subjects. When the people can't defend themselves (even from their own government) is what makes us subjects. History speaks for itself, people, do some readings.
