Deftones just added their next US tour which will conflict w/ Mayhem dates. It's not at the same time, but these contracts require a certain amount of time between shows and the dates they announce don't allow that amount of time. Maybe they'll be on Uproar.

They will be on one of them i can assure you of that. They are doing what a lot of bans do. They play small shows before doing a festival tour.

What do you know about their contracts? Their playing some of the off dates of mayhem

All tours have contracts, especially major tours like this one. Battlecross has a contract with a tour this Summer that does not allow them to play a show within 5 months of the tour UNLESS the tour does not go through that state. Majority of contracts are like that. That's for a tour the size of Mayhemfest or Summer Slaughter.

Do you know if this is the case for deftones or are you just speculating?

Whitechapel played in new york, alabama, and florida a month before mayhem.

first off,deftones are highly overrated and ive tried to get into their music but its just awful. especially that new song tempest,horribly overplayed and jsut annoying. and what i meant was if they are gonan be on a fest like this theyd be more uproar,they arent mayhem. for instance,look at a band like godsmack or disturbed,they could play uproar or mayhem,but look at a band like papa roach or stone sour,they could only do uproar. and i hope deftones arent on uproar either cause uproar was awesome last year.

Your opinion on Deftones aside, they have played Ozzfest before. If Deftones can play Ozzfest, they can play Mayhem.
