I knew All That Remain's new album would be just ok. But one that I thought would be better was The Dethalbum III. I like the first 3 songs but all the rest is just repetative to me. And @ Greg & MetalCrusades, idk how Meshuggah's new album could be a disappointment. Koloss is one of my favorite albums by them to date. But hey, everyone is different I guess.

How could anyone be disappointed with new ATR? We all knew it was going to suck! And the new Kreator is fucking godly. They executed the melodic elements on the album VERY well. Hands down best thrash album of 2012.

I absolutely loved Dethalbum 3. There was some pretty awesome songs on that record in my opinion. But an album that really didnt do too much for me was LoG Resolution. Im not saying it was awful because there was some songs on there I loved! But I was expecting more from the album which is sorta on my part.

Steve Harris' solo album British Lion. I knew I wasn't getting a metal album, and I knew that I had no idea what to expect but it wasn't all that good.
STEVE HOLT - Steve Holt, Arrested Development. If you don't know that show, shame on you. Seriously. You're pathetic. Not really. Just go watch it.

haha I agree with ATR but didn't include it cuz I knew it would be bad... as for Koloss. It wasn't necessarily a bad album. I was just bored with it. Compared to their other releases and compared to the other releases of the year it just didn't stick out for me.

I liked Periphery II when I first heard it, and I still think its a decent album. But the Periphery fan boys ruined the album for me. They over hyped the album to me, and it didn't stand NEARLY as Godly as they made it out to be.

Periphery II was ok, I'd agree with MetalCrucades on that one. But I forgot about LoG. Resolution was just ok. I like about 2 or 3 songs off of it and the rest is kinda boring to me.

Honestly Koloss wasn't that great. It seemed a little to clinical, even by Meshuggah's standards. Destroy Erase Improve remains to be a great record, so I can forgive them. ATR's A War You Cannot Win didn't quite live up to that band's last couple of albums. Other than that I'd say the bands I expected to deliver did.
