There were some great albums this past year. But what about the absolute filth albums? My top 5 albums i was most disappointed in or just hated were:5:All that remains-a war you cannot win, 4:Chelsea grin-evolve(i just hate them)3:As i lay dying-awakened(I just felt they went a little more core than before.)2:Periphery2-this time it's personal.1:Veil of maya-eclipse.

As I Lay Dying- the production felt like plastic, nothing original, Lamb of God Resolution- Nothing new, pretty boring, generic riffs. Kreator- Phantom Antichrist, The 2nd law- muse

I agree with the production, but I still thought Awakened was a good album. I'm not a fan of Green by Baroness. Yellow was fantastic but Green was kinda "meh" to me. The new Thy Art is Murder was just ok. I didn't care for the new Fear Factory or the new Shadows Fall albums.

my five least favorite releases of the year were: Precision Death by Autopsy on the Horizon, Amaryllis by Shinedown, Lambs by Laser Flames on the Great Big News, Periphery II by Periphery, and Koloss by Meshuggah

I liked Koloss and PII quite a bit. I hear a lot of people complain about L'Enfant Sauvage by gojira.

wow I really like the 2nd law. Guess you have to be more of a muse fan and listen to it more than once to appreciate it. Even if there is that dubstep song which actually has music in it (drumming and singing.)L'Enfant Sauvage is a good album, theres just not much special things to it like their other albums.

@darkdevout,how the hell is phantom antichrist a dissapointment? that album is album of the fuckin year,it reminded me of painkiller,you know,every single track is awesome. lamb of gods was great,and muses kicked fucking ass,except for that one follow me song that one sucked. as for dissapointments, 5.Papa Roach, 4.Shinedown, 3.Stone Sour, 2.Messuggah, 1.Great White. damn great whites new album sucked ass

oh and soundgardens new one was dissapointing. live to rise was awesome,but wasnt on the album

Lamb of Gods album was bad because it only entertained me for a week, nothing that set it apart from previous albums...and the songwriting from previous albums were much better as well, Kreators album was generic thrash, they added more melody but it had poor execution, and for the most part the 2nd law was so BORING

WHAT? AILD's new album was off the hook! However, I was disappointed with All The Remain's new album. I was excited for something new from them. I do like their song "Down Through The Ages" though.
