ok,im not talking about any cores or screamo,cause we know why those get hate. but why do certain metal bands and hard rock get so much hate? people hate them with a passion or something. i mean cmon,i cant stand cradle of filth,i think their music is awful but i dont hate them or hate on them or their fans. but some good examples i see of EXTREME hate for metal badns and their fans have been: 5FDP,Marilyn Manson,Limp Bizkit,Slipknot,Motley Crue,Steel Panther,SOAD,and i know its not particularily metal,but Kid Rock. Seriously,why the extreme hate? Especially for manson? what is so bad about manson? what is so terribly wrong with 5fdp?

Well there a few bands you are missing on the list but as for me when I say I "hate" a band it means I just think their music is awful. I don't actual hate them as people or their fans and I think that is the same way for most people. Unless of course it's like what the One Direction fans said about Mitch and his daughter, then it is okay to hate.

Because Marilyn Manson is a douchebag who thinks he's like God's little gift to mankind. I don't mind some of his music, and I'll admit that he has a good stage show but I'm not super into him.

I understand completely why people hate those bands. ESPECIALLY Kid Rock, Limp Bizkit, Motley Crue, and Manson.

@Metalcrusades,alright then why dont you fuckin elaborate what is so wrong with Crue and Manson. unfortunately i saw many narrowminded people hating on limp bizkit on that other post,so why dont you fucking elaborate then. @Simon,ok,so he has a little bit of ego. nothing wrong with ego. i dont see ppl hating on David Lee Roth or Dave Grohl? what is so bad about Manson?

The thing about Crue and Manson is they care more about their image and "shock value" than their music. Their music isn't very good. Its quite generic. Not technical. Really silly (and not silly in a good way like Alestorm). Their image is stupid too... Overall they're boring, generic, don't do anything great in the music field, and care more about their image. Lame.... as for Limp Bizkit. Keep the douchebag wigger rapper shit out of metal. Its lame, and Fred Durst isn't even a good vocalist/lyricist/rapper.

@ metal i totally agree with ya there. Durst is just a wanna be wigger who thinks he can rap. Their first album was good but everything after that he was more into the rap shit then metal.

first off,thats only your opinion. lots of people like crue and manson who also like mroe technical and lyrical stuff in metal/rock/etc. i wouldnt say they care more about image,i mean cmon,look at gwar. whats wrong with haviong the looks if you also have the music? i wouldnt say the music is generic. its not technical or highly lyrical,but seriously,look at rob zombie,his lyrics mean NOTHING,they are meant to be horror/violence/sex/crazy lyrics and supposed to be cool,not all bands have to have meaningful lyrics like tool or soad. as long as the people who lsiten to them also listen to meaningful and technical stuff,i see no problem with a mixture. and as for bizkit,who cares? you know some people like rap metal. i dont hear anyone bitching about RATM or Faith No More.

I don't hate them. I actually appreciate them, because these are the gateway bands into the heavier shit. Without them, the metal community would be considerably smaller. I think a lot of people get tired of others always talking or posting about them though.
