Post Hardcore

One question, who here has a negative view on Post hardcore? many people think that post hardcore is a genre of bands like you me at six, BVB, BFMV ect. but really they all fall under the genre but are not "true" post hardcore, bands like At the drive in, Fugazi (which has one of the member of black flag) and Joy Division being a major important one, the band the defined post hardcore with their first album in 1979. (yes it dates back that far) I felt like saying this because I don't feel like the people know what the true presence of the genre is.

Whoaaaaaaaaaa whoa whoa. Joy Division is not post hardcore. They are post punk. Very different. Fugazi is probably the first post hardcore band. hahaha Joy Division post hardcore. Silly silly. :P

The only bands i like that could be considered that are the amity affliction and the ghost inside. But bands like pierce the veil are awful in that genre.

You have to mention bad brains in there. I like everything Henry Rollins has been involved with, but i listened to the second wave of hardcore more than the early stuff. Cro Mags , suicidal tendencies, agnostic front, etc . I also like discipline, madball and murphys law but i don't know what era they began

corrosion of conformity was in the heavier 80s punk bands before they went more metal direction in the 90s

those are all hardcore punk bands, post hardcore was a genre of itself, hardcore punk basically infused with a lot of melody.

There is only one post-hardcore band that i listen to regular and really enjoy and that is August Burns Red. Every other band I have heard from that genre fucking blows, but again that's just my opinion.

There seems to be a very fine line between post hardcore and metalcore because August Burns Red and The Ghost Inside fall under the categories of both....

I hate post-hardcore because of Asking Alexandria and Pierce the Veil.. I'd rather listen to Lil Wayne and Snoop Dogg before this crap "music". God awful stuff it is.
