What is your favorite Trivium album? And why? Mine is In Waves. The guitars sound so much better, the drums are much better and that song structures and lyrics are very much improved from previous records.

why, best solos, best song structure, epic lyrics/story telling, best vocals, longer more technical songs... overall their best...

Shogun, the songs are just so epic.
I like In Waves, but I like riffing out in Shogun, were as In Waves was much more minimalistic. I also think in In Waves the vocals are over produced, I really prefer the vocals of Shogun.

Shogun. The reason for that being that it was very thrashy. The guitar and drum work is stellar.All of the songs up there are excellent. Down from the sky, throes of perdition, kristute gomen, into the mouth of hell we march and even shogun are phenomenal. I liked in waves too but it was more melodic than their other albums. Ascendancy was good too but it seemed more core than the other albums.

In Waves was too generi-core for me... awful song writing, the worst solos, WAY TOO BREAKDOWN HEAVY, and no Travis...

That i actually agree with. But after seeing them perform capsizing the sea and in waves live i fell in love with it.
