It might not make sense that slipknot would be on tour while stone sour has a new album out (and one dropping right before summer) but like it was said before, its probably gonna be another short tour or 1-2 day festival in one spot.

I can see Stone Sour doing a small headliner early Spring as well as doing the US Radio show circuit, taking some time off in the summer to do a few Slipknot shows, and picking back up in the Fall with even more touring.

we dont even know IF there will be an ozzfest in 2013 in the states. although i heard rumors before of a Priest-Sabbath tour when their new albums comes out this coming year. if there is ozzfest, theyd be smart if they booked monster magnet.

What would be smart about booking Monster Magnet? Is it because their last album sold a whole 3,000 copies in it's first week? I like some Monster Magnet, but I don't think it would be smart to book them.

they are THE most underrated band ever in any genre. listen to Space Lord or Dopes To Infinity and tell me they arent ingenious lyrics and song? really? besides ozzfest has lesser known bands on every year. they got hatebreed when they were just a beginning band. read wikipedia lineups. and the 3,000 albums thing is just the first week, look at Accept's new album, sold 3,500 copies 1st week. been out like 7 months, its now sold about 45,000 copies plus digital downloads. and that album is a masterpiece

I am very familiar with the Ozzfest line-ups, so I don't need to look them up. Monster Magnet isn't a lesser known band. Ozzfest isn't known for bringing in veteran bands that are past their prime in regards to album sales and show attendance. I would definitely watch them if they played, but I will not agree that it would be smart to book them.I'm also not talking about Accept, so that is not relevant to the conversation.

it was in reference to album sales

Yeah, Monster Magnet album sales. If we are going to go that route. Please tell me how many albums Masterminds has sold to date. Probably as much as Accept's new one and that album has been out for 2 years. Just because you like a band, doesn't mean they are the best thing going and it's smart for tours to book them. It's not about what you think about a band, it's about the fact that some bands aren't big enough to make sense have play these tours and festivals. You don't think logically about some things on this board.
