18 and i like thrash the most then death metal

I consider bands like shadows fall, lamb of god, and as I lay dying to all be the second wave of metalcore. I feel like the genre started earlier with bands like converge. However, I'll change my answer to 1st wave so it doesn't sound like I like prada and asking Alexandria. I also forgot to add progressive metal and progressive death metal to my list.

Well I have you all beat. I'm 41 and have been listening to all metal since I was 14. I would say my favoritre genre is thrash but I'm really a fan of all of it except this new, emo crap. Even going back to old school hair metal.

Age 18 (19 in 5 days) and I like metal. Prog, extreme prog, technical death, prog death. Stuff like that and other kind of what nots. I LOVE PROGGY METAL.

Im 32 I like almost all of them.

I am 25, I like melodic death metal, power metal, progressive death metal, NWOBHM, 3 metalcore albums, stoner/doom metal, thrash. A little bit of everything.

i got all of ya beat. 44 haha true. grew up on 80's hair metal ratt crue etc.. then i heard slayer and merciful fate and it was over. thrash and death metal was it. until i heard venom bathory , then came THE TRUE MAYHEM!! i was done the darker the better. black metal today is my fav. but i still listen to it all. im fortunate enuff to have a job that puts me around music , and on the road with festivals (like this one) and tours alot.i even like alot of the new stuff except that scene, emo, shit!! my kids think im nuts and laugh at the music i like, that is untill summer when they wanna hang on the road.
