You see, the states that passed it are going to be screwed by the feds. It is currently on the FEDERAL list of controlled substances meaning that the DEA will get heavily involved in this.

I don't think you understand our position, but yes you are right they will get screwed by the DEA. The federal government should not be deeming it illegal nor mandating it to be legal. It should simply be left up to the states.
The government is a greedy piglet that sucks on the sore chapped nipple of the tax payer.

I am just happy that two states have voted it into a legal substance. This will force the federal government to stop ignoring a major issue. Prohibition on marijuana should have ended long ago.

so far there has been no response other than that they (the feds) are looking into it. it is going to be treated just like alcohol in washington so there shouldn't be that big of an issue, colorado on the other hand allows you to grow up to 6 plants so that is probably going to be an issue. also if you are so passionate about it get it on the ballot for next year for your state.
You tried hard and you failed. Moral of the story is never try.

Another problem is, what happens next? Will people start saying that extasy and/or cocaine should be legal? What will happen to the people who make their money by selling it? What are they going to do after that with no 'real-world' work experience?
