I just saw gwar for the first time on the 6th, and hands down, they put on one of the best shows i have ever seen in my life. I think they would be awesome for mayhem, they definitely have what it takes for a festival environment. Anyone elses thoughts?

they obviously always had what it takes for a festival, what i mean is they would kill headlining a second stage.

I think them being on Mayhem wouldn't give them enough time to do what they like to during their performances. The performances are also better suited to indoor venues. I saw them for the first time as well a couple of weeks ago, and I agree, they are hands down the best live performance I have seen.

I don't think they're too fond of festivals though.

I saw them outdoors at the GWAR B-Q. They were just as good outdoors and they only played an hour. They have played Sounds of the Underground, which at least one year was outdoors. I think bigger touring festivals don't want to book GWAR. I'm in the mindset that they don't want fans to sit through the rest of a show covered in the aftermath of a GWAR set. I'd love to see them as a second stage headliner.

i agree with bengals, doesnt matter where they are, they just definitely need to be on mayhem. the amount of energy thats at the show is incredible. i understand what tragedy says though, alot of people probably wouldnt want to walk around covered in the blood, me on the other hand would be proud of it haha.
