YOU DISSING ANIME SON?! I seriously don't get why people make so much fun of japanese culture at all.

It's also related to my Anime fandom in my youth although i still enjoy several anime series and movies from time to time. It's also that their is a huge neo-classical influence in Japanese and Asian culture now and i've always been a big classical fan and their are a number of artist their that can intertwine Classical, Modern, and Traditional music so well and that's where my love for some artists comes from.

i just never got into anime at all. I like cartoons tho which is alot different.

Cartoons nowadays suck. I miss the good old days of nickelodeon and cartoon network. I remember watching ren and stimpy and invader zim ed edd and eddy haha.

rocko's modern life, doug, original rugrats lol. Shows my age lol.

I agree Slipknotfan. a lot of people see the more cheesy side of it and generalize the entire culture when in fact their are a lot of Movie, Music, and Anime artists that can do things with their genre you don't find anywhere else. It opens your eyes how you can take Drawings and animation and turn it into characters and stories you feel attached to who go through real emotions like everyone else, Who are flawed like everyone else, and you feel grief along with. there are good american animated programs as well but they just don't compare to depths of the Story lines and realness several Animes bring.

Those were great cartoons tdog, that's what i grew up with.

the secret life of alex mack, even tho that wasnt a cartoon, what else was on fucking Nick back in the early to mid 90's now lol.

@Tdog those shows were the shit back then!!! And@Darkaeon exactly. Most anime i watch i actually feel for the characters and see the emotion put into detail. I think that'sthe reason people in america poke fun at it is because they can't achieve that level of emotion and drama. What are your favorite anime?

I have not got to watch any lately but back in the day my favorite was Cowboy Bebop (Will always be #1 along with it's soundtrack by Yoko Kanno), Outlaw Star, Full Metal Alchemist, Bleach, InuYasha, GITS, Trigun, basically all the early Final Fantasy's (come on their were playable animes haha), Death Note and several others i'm blank on at the moment.
