Do the minor stage overlap the main stage at all?

I heard the last acts on the Jagermeister and Mayhem stages overlap the first 2 acts on the main stage. Is this true?

It all comes down to your venue really. There was an overlap for Mayhem 2008. Last year however, at my venue, there was not. But as I said before, usually it depends. Encores could increase the chance of an overlap, and some venues (such as Phoenix), may have restricted fire codes that cause all side stage bands to perform on one stage, causing an overlap for the Main Stage. However, being that there is one less band this year compared to the other years, that may also help with not having an overlap.
We'll settle this with violence.

1st year the Dragonforce and Machine Head, and Mastodon and Walls of Jericho overlapped. 2nd year only Bullet for my Valentine and Cannibal Corpse overlapped.

"2nd year only Bullet for my Valentine and Cannibal Corpse overlapped." I didn't ever hear that happening, in Sacramento, about the time Stripped, Raped and Strangled finished, I heard several teenage girl-esque screams coming from the main stage area. The overlap was tiny.

^in Chicago, when Cannibal Corpse finished there was like 2 songs left of Bullet...(there may have been more i was meetin Trivium, but they still overlapped). But yea, 2nd year overlap was small. 1st year, i missed all of Walls of Jericho for Mastodon, and all of Dragonforce (but like the last minute of Through the Fire and Flames) for Machine Head.

Well, if this is a big issue at a majority of the venues, I personally think that's something Mayhem Fest should address. People are paying good money to see the bands on the advertisement. They shouldn't have to pick and choose between them unexpectedly. But obviously, things are not going to be perfect at every show, on every stop. Those expectations are unrealistic. So if it happens minimally, fair enough to let it slide.
