I am a member of many sites that involve talking about metal/rock/whatever, and I've seen guys go on there say that girls shouldn't listen to metal and that it is for the guys and shit. Or that girls being into this shit has taken out the "masculinity." What the fuck is that shit? So far I've seen a lot of guys think that it's "hot" when a girl likes metal. I've gotten into a few fist fights with guys saying this kind of bullshit.

This is unreal... in a way girls are the reason that metal fits what the overall mold is. Without girls into it, they would not be at the shows thus no groupies (I for one am not into sausage parties after a nite of rocking out), without girls into metal or dating guys that are into metal, well certain songs would not exist that in a bleeding metal way portray the struggles with a relationship via into song (I dont mind songs of wizards and demons but I like songs I can relate to dealing with a relationship)Ppl that got into fights about this? They are ruining the understanding that is metal.
