Rockstar Mayhem Festival

Dammit, I hate it when my favorite bands overlap at concerts. Looks like if I'm not missing hatebreed i'll be missing atreyu, which sucks too, cuz even tho i hate most of their music, they fuckin rock live. Completing the side stages entirely before starting the main stage would be stupendous. I'll be waiting at the stage an hour before lamb of god comes on. But seeing Norma jean is impotrant, and Chimaira cuz i haven't seen them since their new album, winds of plague cuz i just got into them and their live show looks major sick. However, I may have to sacrifice atreyu or hatebreed to see the entire lamb of god set...madness i tell you

There was no overlapping last year. Probably why they have 1 less band on the Mayhem Festival Stage (aka Hot Topic Stage). You should be okay

I was referring of course to '08 when Mastodon and Dragonforce played the main stage while Underoath and Machine Head played the rest of their sets. It was frustrating cuz I know I didn't see all of Mastodon and my friend HAD to see Dragonforce so we missed Machine Head. This Mayhem looks to be one of the best line ups so far

Where did you hear that LOG would be opening main stage? Based on the advertising and marketing for the site I'd be willing to bet the order for main stage is going to be 5FDP > LOG > Zombie > Korn. In which case, if there is any overlap - it would be either Atreyu/Hatebreed overlapping 5FDP. Which is fine with me.Also, if I recall correctly there were still reports that CC (the last side stage band to play last year) did overlap the beginning of BFMVs set in a few cases. They try to prevent it...but its not always possible. Shit happens.

The only way CC would overlap is if people begged for another song. Behemoth played an encore at STL last year and overlapped All That Remains (I think that was the band) but only for like 2 minutes.

Last year my date (Phx, AZ) had some overlapping. While CC was playing, I missed Bullet of my Valentine. I was leaving CC to go to the bathroom and if I didn't do that, I would of missed KsE too. Thankfully I got to see my favorite songs by KsE played but I was still pissed that I missed Bullet for my Valentine! Hopefully there will be NO overlapping this year.

usually the mayhem stage overlaps the first band on main stage, last year cannibal corpse was playing while bullet started and then they ended around the same time. u just had to hurry to see killswitch. the first year was wierd wwhen underoath started mastodon was on and then machine head played and when we were just walkin by the main stage dragonforce was about to end. so im guessing this year it will be atreyu that will play when 5fdp comes on and not hatebreed. (i hope) cuz last year when trivium ended there was time to see bullets hole set but i missed C.C. so yea id rather miss atreyu than hatebreed for 5fdp but as LoG is concerned everyone shuld see them like last year everyone saw killswitch...(this was the chicago date)
