I personally like both, but i think fear factorys drummer is a bit better than meshuggahs. The drummer for fear factory actually taught dave lombardo( slayers drummer ) a few things back in the day

both bands are really good...but I gotta say that I prefer Fear Factory...just have a better sound in my opinion

Both bands are amazing and have lots of the same elements. Meshuggah's music is a lot more technical and off-tempo, while Feat Factory has more hooks and clean choruses. The drummer you're talking about Gene Holgan originally from Strapping Young Lad. This is the first FF album he's played on.

thats a fucking hard one, both bands have paved the way for thier own genre thats for sure. But I'll give Meshuggah the edge, only because all their albums from Destory Erase Improve on, are amazing. While Digimortal and Transgression for Fear Factory sucked!!
