Rockstar Mayhem Festival

I decided to participate in America's new favorite pastime: Bitching on the Internet.Okay, what the fuck? The last two years of the Mayhem Festival have been in San Antonio. Why not this year? Did they run out of places to put it? There's the Alamodome, the Sunken Gardens, and another AT&T Center vacant and waiting to be littered with spilled beer, sweat, and blood. One of the groups banned from playing in the city? That I can understand, but give us a goddamn explanation.If you're wondering why I'm doing this, there are two reasons: A, I have family I can crash with until the next day in San Antonio, plus I'm familiar with the city. No contacts in Dallas. All I know about Dallas is that I run a risk of getting robbed. B, I live in the outskirts of Austin. Four and a half hours to go to Dallas, add another three or four if you live in San Antonio, and if you live in Houston, you're pretty much shit outta luck.Before you get on my ass with comments like "why don't you shut up, stop being a gay little pussy and fucking go?" I. AM. GOING. I am going to go there, and kick some fucking ass. When I go back to Austin, I will (no doubt) smell like a mix of smoke, beer, and sweat, one of the most repulsive smells (but as a Metalhead, I wear the stench with pride) on the fucking Earth, next to burning hair and vaporised piss. I will be covered in bruises and a mix of my own and other people's sweat and blood. All I'm doing here is ranting at 7:05 in the morning about the lack of a date covered during the last two years of the Mayhem Festival. Leave your comments below if you agree. You think they owe you any explanation because they skipped your city? Who said they had to come there every year? Maybe they wanted to try different cities this year and felt they could afford to skip over San Antonio. If you really want to go that bad just go to Dallas.
