Rockstar Mayhem Festival

When will there actually be a festival that is just for metal in the U.S. Honestly, Ozzfest said they were just gonna be metal look how that turned out and the same with Mayhem. The closest thing that i know of that is just strictly metal is the Summer Slaughter Tour. The only metal band that Mayhem has really had on there tour so far (not counting this year) is Slayer, and i'm talking about metal not nu-metal. Now this year they did a little bit better with Rob Zombie (even if you dont' like him) and Lamb of God(there getting old real fast). I know Mayhem is just trying to make money so they bring in these shitty mainstream bands like Manson, Slipknot(Slipknot is not heavy the only heavy album they came out with is Iowa), Disturbed, and now Korn. Honestly who's next ICP honestly who wants to see that. All i'm trying to get across is when A Festival says there just going to have metal bands well than they should just have metal bands.

there are numerous metal tours that hit the US around April-May... way too many actually. (Sometimes I need to miss some great shows)

Yes, there have been numerous metal tours. You just have not been paying attention

And also, tours like Ozzfest and Mayhem have never been "metal" tours to begin with. They have always offered diversity from the beginning

There aren't many touring fests that are strictly metal, but there are location fests that are strictly metal. Maryland Death Fest is the first that comes to mind, supposedly the best the US has to offer as far as a show. I think enough bands tour extensively in the summer anyway.
