as much as i like Mikael Aekerfelt.... he just wishes he could write a song like these guys. Their first release, "THE FORLORN" has got to be one of the few perfect albums i've listened to in my 10 years listening to metal. The Forlorn (2006).... is a concept album that tells the story of a man who has murdered his wife and child a time back; and is starting to feel the weight of guilt on his life. the album's lyrics takes us through his rise and eventual Fall (which is the name of the album closer).. until he eventually kills himself.

They released a 3-song EP; called "CLOSURE" last year (which is available free at their website and/or Myspace)...... and "Fall of Icons", their next full-length, is set to be released March 5th.

This is really really good. If that new one is anywhere near as good as this, it could be an album of the year contender.

yea... i was captivated since the first listen. The new album is a little change in direction (they have 2 full NEW songs up on myspace).... they have a new singer than from the 1st album. And his growls are nowhere near as fierce, and his clean vocals i dont really like. But Musicwise; its all still there.
