Since the lineup was announced all I've seen is people bitch about how Korn is headlining. What do you guys have against them? Their metal legends, like them or not. Yah, I'll admit they sold out and they are definitely not the same without Head and David but the songs "Blind" and "Falling Away From Me" and "Freak On A Leash" still exist. So what if their not the heaviest. Black Sabbath created metal and Ozzy didn't growl. Are you gonna say that they weren't metal. Besides, in some places you can't even mosh to the main stage bands. If you wanna bitch about a band on this years lineup, bitch about Atreyu cuz they're the ones that don't belong on it. Alternative Metal is waaaaaaaaay better than fagcore in my book.

I don't really want to involve myself in this conversation, but I'm going to drop in to say this. Growling does not make you heavy, and being heavy does not mean you growl.

There's not a fucking thing wrong with Korn. They don't need Head or David to be a good band. Ray Luzier is an amazing drummer, and other than the fact that David was a founding member, I'd take Ray over David any day. I'll admit that their last two albums weren't the best, but they were going for something new. It didn't work, but they are going back to their roots for the new album. On last years' tour, they only played one song off the last two albums. They played mostly older stuff and their greatest hits. Talk shit all you want, but Korn is a great band who puts on kick-ass live shows.

I use to love korn but, not so much anymore. Personally I think that mayhem could have done a much better job than korn and rob zombie for the headliner and coheadliner (i also use to love rob zombie). I think they could have put on two bands that are much heavier. Both zombie and korn seem rather weak after 5dp and lamb of god. Frankly though, I am not even sure why Korn is on Mayhem since they have not put out anything recent. Korn has made some good songs but have been going downhill for the most part since follow the leader and their last cd was fucking terrible. I think all things consider, korn is a has been band that will never recapture the success they achieved with follow the leader. I would much rather see bands like amon amarth, devil driver, arch enemy, among a thousand others take both korn and rob zombie's places on this tour.

Whether you like Korn or not, Amon Amarth, DevilDriver, and Arch Enemy are NOT going to headline Mayhem! Why is it so hard for you people to understand that the headliners are mainstream bands that will bring in the money?? Pretty much everyone knows who Korn is, but Amon Amarth has a limited fanbase. They wouldn't bring in the kind of money that Korn and Zombie will. The side stages are for the kind of bands you're talking about, not the mainstage (maybe DD) and definitely not headlining.
