Rockstar Mayhem Festival

If you could make a dream band with 5 different living musicians from 5 different bands what would it be. Mine would be Tomas Haake (Meshuggah) on drums, Dino Cazares (Fear Factory) on rhythm guitar, Jeff Loomis (Nevermore) on lead guitar, Brian Fair (Shadows Fall) on vocals, and Dan Briggs (Between the Buried and Me) on bass.

Haake on drums, Arthur Von Nagel (Cormorant) on bass, Chuck Schuldiner (lead/rhythm), Nergal (lead/rhythm), James Malone on vox. They would play melodic/technical death metal in the vein of Arsis.

Nice line-up. Speaking of which, have you heard Arsis' new album yet? if so how is it?

Yes. In my opinion, it's their worst yet. I was impartial to We are the Nightmare, with it being overly technical. I think this was a step in the right direction, the songwriting and execution just wasn't as good as it could have been. I'd pick it up and check it out, but don't be expecting A Celebration of Guilt #2.

Gotcha. I only heard a song or too so far. I'll just go on their myspace and listen to it through.
