I know good and well a majority of people who jumped on the "R.I.P. Dime" bandwagon had probably never listened to Pantera until after they got popular, but that doesn't make them overrated. And as far as being accepted at this forum, I assure you that I couldn't care less what you or anyone else on here thinks about me. If I wanted to be accepted and jump on the bandwagon with you guys, I would go on about how great the line-up is and agree with anything anyone where said instead of stating my opinion like I am. The guy asked why some people on the board hate ffdp, I gave him my reasons. If not liking them makes me an ignorant elitist douche, I guess that's what I am.

Everybody has a right to express their opinion. Love them or hate them, no opinion is right or wrong. It's just what we think. But it is disrespectful towards another person to bash them because they like a certain band. Calling them "false metal faggots" and all that garbage. What are we in middle school here? We all have something in common. We love metal. Of course we're all not going to like all of the same metal bands, but we still share that common ground. We need to respect each other instead of bashing each other just because we all don't agree on all of the same bands. Everybody has a different opinion, but I really think there could be a little more respect given instead of lame and immature insults.

That was actually very well said. Seriously. You have a lot of good points. I'll admit I may have been harsh with what I've said about them. Even if they're not my cup of tea, I shouldn't put them or their fans down. No one likes an asshole, right? lol. I still don't like them, but I can stay outta arguments about them and listen to the bands I like. It just means I'll be able to stay and enjoy all of whoever plays last on the 2nd stage.
