Since people are bitching and moaning about radio play and warped tour bs, i went in the back of my mind and thought of bands that never jumped the shark and did something just for the money.Black SabbathMotorheadSlayerAnthrax(Before selling their albums at walmart, or ironman music video's) AC/DC - but they will always be amazingif their r more (huge) bands then let me know

Bathory(probably the best example), King Diamond/Mercyful Fate, Exodus, Immortal, Iron Maiden, Amon Amarth, Behemoth, there are tons of great metal bands who never sold out which is why you usually won't find them on festival tours in the US

the only reason Acdc didnt sell out is cause theyve been playing the same song for 34 years.....just saying. im actually a fan so im not bashing. haha BUT IMO the greastest band to ever not sell out is Rush....

Nevermore-They aren that well know but a very great metal band. I doubr they will ever right a radio friendly song just for money or to get noticed.

yo whoever said Slayer sold out is the biggest fucking retard ON THE PLANET, not only is Slayer banned from most metal radio stations but their banned in alot of internationl countires. Their albums promote everything the goverment, media and mainstream community demotes. Have you ever listened to the almighty Slayer?
