can anyone tell me why hatbreed is not on the main stage? are they not bigger than five finger death punch? or lamb of god even?

no, they're not.

I planted some bird seed. A bird came up. Now I don't know what to feed it.

it's not that they don't deserve it, but their performance is better suited to second stage (as is LOG's imo) where the pit can be as large as possible.

1. theirs not enough room/time on the mainstage. 2. even though most of you hate FFDP, but They've never had a bigger following than what they got right now. the death punch legion is massive especially here in north florida. 3. hatebreed rocks, but idk if their as much of a draw, as they were a few years ago.

i'm pretty disappointed Lamb of God aren't on one of the smaller stages, i really don't feel like buying a pit ticket just to see them up close

Hatebreed always plays the small stage on festivals. At least eveytime I've seen them which is quite a few. As someone else said their show is meant for a huge pit. FFDP will probably have a short set also.

I saw Hatebreed during Ozzfest '06. they were on the main stage and people were looking at them like "WTF?" They definitely were placed badly for that show. Just like the fact that System of a Down were the last band to play right after Disturbed that night (which was funny and sad). The sound guy needed to be shot because you couldn't hear them from the nosebleeds, and the majority of the crowd started leaving when they came on. When Disturbed was still on, the entire crowd was literally one big pit, and a pair of 60 year old grannies disappeared from their seats in the back and into the front near the stage.

ARE YOU DUMB DUDE? I'd rather Hatebreed HEADLINE THEIR OWN STAGE then open for somebody else.

Indeed, it will be better for them to headline a side stage. And sure, they might 'deserve' a spot on the main stage, but it's not like they lose some amazing points on their resume for not being on it.
