Couldn't have said it better myself.

What it really comes down to is the average 17 year old kid doesnt know shit about music and are casual fans. They are the people that if you ask them what metal bands they like they will say the most generic ones and name like one or two of their hits. These are the idiots that go to the shows in numbers because its something to do in the summer and they can be all cool and drink and pretend their badass. Meanwhile the people who actually like real metal music and go for the actual music and not to just be seen in public gets screwed. The end

and IMO Atreyu puts on one of the best live shows around, ALOT better than the bands on that stage last year, doesnt hurt either that Atreyu, Hatebreed, and Rob Zombie are all capable of selling out large venues(thus making the tour a big draw)

All im saying is I want just one. And The Red Chord is Grindcore/Deathmetal who was at the 1st mayhem. And IMO the best band I saw all day.

Mayhem is really giving a handout to devoted fans, 7 or 8 years ago I would have killed to see a Lamb of God/Shadows Fall/Hatebreed/Atreyu/Chimaira/Norma Jean show(now back in the day 2 or 3 of those bands could do a show together, but thats about it-and Im not huge on NJ just making a point) and now they get all these bands plus some newer ones and KoRn and Zombie(Who did one tour together back in 1999)this a HUGE loveletter to the people who saw these bands when they were nothing and hoped one day they could all get together, and spared us the overpriced tickets and shitty drunks going to see Ozzy(I love Ozzy, but its true) there doing this tour for the fans and not the idiots who change what genre they like every other year
