Rockstar Mayhem Festival

Well it's not. Even since the creation of it when Kevin Lyman said the tour was for a "variety of the hardest heavy and hard rock performers" who are willing to give their all for appreciative crowds. It's understandable that people wish for a full hearted metal fest. But get real, Mayhem will always have variety from the get go, because that was the festival's original intentions. Mayhem 2008 had Underoath and Airbourne. Non metal bands. Mayhem 2010 had more metal bands indeed, but there was still the exception of Marilyn Manson for variety as well. Not everyone is going to be satisfied, and that's the way things go. I would loooove bands like Children of Bodom, Into Eternity, Meshuggah, as well as many other heavy hitters to be apart of the fest. But I am willing to accept the festival for what it is and go and have a good time anyway, because I can appreciate variety. Okay, my rant is done.

i fully agree. people expected an ozzfest replacement and didnt get 15 bands they never heard of except for the main stage. metal heads say mainstream people are closed minded yet if a "metal festival" is anything but br00tal death metal they say its crap

everything on the tour is metal. not necessarily good metal but it is still considered metal

Exactly I agree with you 100 there's just always assholes that bitch constantly there's bands I dont like on this tour and there's bands I like. im not gonna bitch about a band I dont like everyone has different taste some people like some bands I dont like and same vice versa opinions are like assholes everyone has one people just need to shut the shit talking if you like this years line up go if you dont shut the fuck up and stay home plain and simple

it is all some kind of metal thats why there is talk of this bing ozz fests last year bc mayhem is takeing the crowd. thats why ozz fest is desspretly trying to get slipknot on there line up. honestly i dont care for ozz fest ozzy has been slacking lately and im not even a big fan of him in the first place
