Day 11 - Atlanta, GA

by CompoundJustin

Atlanta was hot and humid as usual but we came to rock out with all you guys! Asking Alexandria's Danny and Ben stop by and talk with Juliya, and we catch all the highlights, crazy fans, and sick video from the show!

If you came out to the Mayhem show this summer, we want to hear from you! Take our official Show Survey and let us know about your experience! On top of that we want to know what bands you came to see and who you want to see in 2012.

Have pictures that you'd like to share? Feel free to upload them to our website! Along with this make sure to check out the boards for various Mayhem specific blogs that you can give your input on!

I loved the lineup and everything! But changing it to one side stage and moving it to the other parking lot was a bad idea. Plus some places didnt really know what to do. Keep it in the other parking lot and keep two stages.

It's not the venue more so it was how they set it up, they had it over in the other parking lot last year which was so much better. For VIP you had to walk all the way to the other side of the venue to the lounge I missed two bands I wanted to see because of this 10 minute walk one way. Whoever set it up should be fired.

I don't know what happened as I have been to see bands play at this exact same venue before and the sound wasn't a problem to me at least but all the side stage bands sound was horrible and the mainstage wasn't much better. During SLAYER you could hardly hear Tom's vocals at all. Plus, the venue was a complete clusterfuck. From the sound problems to security being much bigger assholes than usual and not having a clue what they were doing or what was going on plus a horrible parking situation made this not the greatest venue I've ever been to a show at by a long shot. Hopefully Mayhem Fest (if they ever have a decent lineup again) will find somewhere else to play in Atlanta.
