Motörhead Added To The 2012 Mayhem Lineup

Mayhem today is announcing the addition of Motörhead to the 2012 line-up! This marks the first summer tour that Motörhead has taken part in for several years.

Motörhead frontman Lemmy Kilmister commented, "Well, we're used to mayhem in this band, so it's kind of a family tradition!  Bring it!"

In other exciting news, Headbang For The Highway will be presenting the Sumerian Records Stage at Mayhem this year.

Sumerian Records, who are known for some of the most cutting-edge bands in heavy music today, will be bringing Upon A Burning Body, I The Breather and one more act (to be announced) along for the ride.

The fun doesn’t end there, as Headbang For The Highway will be holding contests all over the U.S. for unsigned bands to win opening spots on the Sumerian Records Stage at the festival. Oh man i have wanted to see Motörhead for a long time, I've been goin to the rainbow on sunset blvd to hang out with lemmy but guess he doesn't go there as much anymore but yea man motörhead is goin to outshine most bands except slayer and slipknot. I can not wait.

i like motorhead but they definitely could have got someone better like if theyre going for a classic metal approach judas priest, iron maiden, alice cooper, black sabbath, metallica all would be good or to pair with slipknot korn, rob zombie, marylin manson would all be good

I'm still a fan of Motorhead and my brother is too. And this is my first time going so i got alot of tips from people on youtube to help me out and i'm sorta excited to see these guys live but i'm not like crazy over their music i'm just a small fan.

Wow. Not really sure what to say to anyone who doesn't like Motorhead. Ummm, are you sure this tour is right for you kids? Maybe look into Justin Bieber or some such other mass produced pop trash that people tell you is cool. And the jackasses actually badmouthing Lemmy...well, bet ya wouldn't say it to his face, Pussenstien.

Iam really upset about this 4th band. iam not trying to be mean but i saw Motorhead already at the Gigantour and wasnt impress. idk about all the Mayhem fans but this is a really big dissapointment to me..lookiing forward to SLIPKNOT still going only for them stay sic.

YES!!!!! THIRD STAGE!!!!! i was hoping soooo baddd that there would be a third stage added! plus Motorhead! this is gonna be awesome! i havent really listened to I The Breather yet, but i love Upon A Burning Body! this year is gonna be sick :D
