i will listen to slipknot till the day i die.
@BlasphyX Actually every member in slipknot are useful! What im thinking is you probably think the two Procussionist if thats how you spell it, are useless, but thats far not true. With out them there are no back up beats which gives slipknot that extra beats with the along rythem. All are need to be slipknot you cant have 6 or 5 people in slipknot.. Procussionist are one of the most important positions in a band. Yes alot are amazing without them but Some are Amazing with them, such as Slipknot! just putting that out there haha
Haha instead of giving me a reason, you pull the fuck you card. I didn't bash these guys, I just stated that I didn't like them without insulting them like most do. But you have to admit, 3 of their members are useless.
Saw you guys at Jiffy Lube Live July 29th. That day was the greatest day of my life, I was on the gate for most of the show (until Clown crowd surfed and his security guards pushed me off the gate) it was worth it though I got to hold clown up while he was surfing. Slipknot you put on a fucking awesome show that night, I hope to see you live again some day soon.
All these mallcore bands make it really hard to dislike Slipknot. I would rather this band play when AA plays. Also, can someone please tell me why they need 9 fucking people? A 4 piece band, hell even a 3 piece band can do this.
I went to their show last night on the 29th at jiffy lube live and they ROCKED!!!!!!! I have never been to see slipknot before but have always wanted to, and damn....it was amazing! They really put on a hell of a show!!!! Corey's vocals are amazing, every member was rocking out and all the interaction with the crowd was AWESOME!!!!!! I hope they will be on next years mayhem tour, because I WILL be going back!!!!!
I went to the show in Cleveland Wed. the 25th. I have heard of Slipknot way back in 95 but never heard there music till about 1998-99 or so from my son.I am familiar with 3 songs Duality,Heritic Anthem and Wait and Bleed. There live show was very boring and the only good thing is the way the band interacted with the crowd and crowd with the band.If they are supposed to be shock rock (Alice Cooper,Marlyn Manson) they suck nothing shocking about them.Slayer blew them away all around with intensity and aggression.Slipknot doesn't come close to a Kiss stage show (not comparing them musically you can't completly different bands.) The reason I compare them to Kiss is they wear masks (Kiss makeup, costumes) and red jump suits. but they lack something musically too.I have grown up a Kiss fan since 1976 and if you don't like them fine I feel the same way about Slipknot they sucked.I guess I just don't get them.I'm 45 and my friend I went with who wanted to see Slipknot and liked them is 50. I guess I'm getting old. I have tried to listen to the band but I just can't get into them they don't do anything for me.I guess you could also say Slipknot is the new version of Kiss in a different form but they have a cult following like Kiss but you either like them or hate them.
You guys put on one hell of a show!!! Very tight with each other, Corey your vocals are absolutely amazing!!! What a great moment to give you and Clown the devil horns and say 'thank you' from the other side of the fence! Along with years of Anthrax, Slayer, etc., you are definitely part of my daily 'therapy'!! Thank you for coming back, RIP Paul.
