Mayhem also marks the much anticipated French metallic powerhouse Betraying The Martyrs return to North America as this will be their third tour StateSide in support of their debut effort, Breathe In Life. This six-piece fine-tuned killing machine has a refreshing attitude to modern metal that is certain to take the music scene by storm. Their on-stage energy and overall intensity can't be matched by many, so expect an unrelenting, vicious set that will certainly leave an impression on anyone who is having the pleasure to witness the band for their first time. It is important for BETRAYING THE MARTYRS to use their music to deliver positive messages to the masses. They are looking to help people through their songs with words and idealisms that may help people figure out who they are and what they believe in, whether it be Christianity, a new way of life or just to help people find happiness for themselves. BTM can't wait to meet open minded people that will discuss music, idealisms and beliefs with them. For those unfamiliar, the band is most commonly considered deathcore or metalcore because they use heavy breakdowns similar to Whitechapel or Carnifex, but also combine this with the use of symphonic and electronic sounds and commonly utilize classical orchestral melodies to greatly differentiate them from the pack. The band also uses many key and tempo changes, which gives their music a more technical and progressive sound.
